The Irene Bracelett is designed in memory of Hurricane Irene for the storm that visited St. Croix, Puerto Rico, and then the East Coast of the US. Made of Sterling Silver with a 14K "eye" in the middle of the loop.
Hurricane Irene was the first major storm of the 2011 hurricane season. On August 20th, Irene made landfall on St Croix as a Tropical Storm, and Puerto Rico the next day. While crossing PR, she intensified, then became a Category 3 and struck the Bahamas, weakened to a Cat 1, then hit North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, then finally Vermont. Each ball on this piece signifies the number of categories the storm was.
